I added a soundtrack to the 1927 Walther Ruttmann film, ‘BERLIN die Symphonie der Großstadt’,
using Lou Reed's Berlin album as a framework, along with popular songs from Germany 1922-1933, punctuated by
Nico's chilling rendition of the national anthem, and it is fascinating to see this classic piece of
film alongside the 2002 interpretation. |
